Service

My service is bespoke as standard.  To ensure your wedding cake receives the attention it deserves I take on a limited number of wedding commissions each year.  Therefore, once you’ve booked your wedding venue, I recommend getting in touch to check my availability for your wedding date. 

My sole aim is to create a wedding cake you are delighted with, whilst staying true to my style.  So, initially, we establish if we’re a good fit for each other in terms of design and pricing.  Once you are confident of this you are invited to secure my services with a non-refundable, non-transferable save the date deposit of £250.  With your date secured in my diary, once we have inspiration from which to work, you will be offered a design consultation.

When designing your wedding cake I take inspiration from many sources, such as the pattern, texture, embellishments or detail from your wedding outfits, your invitations, colour palette, your flowers, venue and everyday things you love.  Once these aspects of your wedding are in place, for wedding cakes of three tiers (70 portions) and over, we go through the entire design together at a face-to-face consultation where you’ll also be offered taste samples.  For smaller wedding cakes an email/phone consultation only is offered.

Amanda Earl Cake Design is a home-based business so consultations are by appointment only and are held out of peak wedding season.

If you are unable to meet me face-to-face due to distance then my Cake by post service is the answer!

Five different flavours of beautifully presented cake samples will be posted direct to your door to enable you to sample my cakes in the comfort of your own home.  This service, available for wedding cake orders of three tiers (70 portions) and over, is offered out of peak wedding season, includes a full design consultation via video.  For smaller wedding cakes an email/phone consultation only is offered.

Sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed next day (UK only), all packaging used is eco-friendly and sustainable, and allergens and storage information is provided.

Due to the fragility of tiered cakes I offer a delivery and set-up service. My charge for this service is based on mileage and travel time.  Single-tier cakes are available for collection only.

Wedding/party biscuit favours and biscuit gift boxes are available for collection only, unless provided alongside a multi-tiered cake.

When commissioning a cake from me pedestal cake stands are available to hire for a nominal charge (plus a fully refundable deposit). Please see the Prices page for more details.

If you would prefer to taste samples prior to securing your date with me and proceeding to a consultation, Cake by post is available at a charge of £50 payable in advance.  This service is available for wedding cakes of three tiers (70 portions) and over and is offered out of peak wedding season.
